"Welcome to the electronic version of orthopaedic journal “Geniy Ortopedii”. It was established in 1995 at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre “Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics” Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Kurgan, Russia and dedicated to the memory of Professor G.A.Ilizarov, the outstanding scientist, pioneer of orthopaedic surgery, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honorary Member of several international societies .
The journal aimed at scientists, orthopaedic and trauma surgeons, medical students and practicing physicians covers theoretical and fundamental studies, new technologies in clinical applications of the method of transosseous osteosynthesis used for injuries and diseases of locomotor system.
The journal accepts original articles to publish materials of dissertations for candidate and doctoral degrees in the field of orthopaedics, traumatology and other related fields of medicine studying diseases and injuries of locomotor system – nanotechnology, cell therapy, physiology, morphology, biology, biochemistry, haemotology, neurosurgery, angiology, oncology, arthrology, microsurgery, maxillomandibular and plastic surgery, veterinary, aspects of organization of orthopaedic and trauma care, different types of imaging diagnosis, stimulation of regeneration in the musculoskeletal system and other aspects of medical science.
In addition of scientific articles you will find summaries of meetings and conferences, dissertation boards, history of medicine, proceedings of the Kurgan Society of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeons, theses and book reviews, biography of leading specialists celebrating jubilee, announcements and advertisements.
The journal is included in VINITI Database RAS, Ulrichs Periodicals Directory, an international bibliographic database and in the VAK list of peer-reviewed journals."
